My computer boot up slowly : Sollutions for Windows 7 and windows 8

A slow Microsoft Windows boot up can be caused by variety of issues. Below are various suggestions and tips that can help improve the overall speed of your computer startup *

Disable Startup Program

Programs that are loading up aa the computer starts up to remain active in memory, are often one of the main causes of a slow boot in Windows. disabling programs you don't often use from automatically starting up each time the computer boots ca increase the boot time [1]. Disk Defragment

Disk de-fragementation is the process of consolidating fragemented data on a volume (such as a hard disk or a storage devive) so it will work more efficiently. To know more about de-fragmentation click here[2]. You can use defragment tool like  Windows defragment toolTune-Up UtilityMyDefrag

Adding Memory (RAM)

Addling additional RAM to the system will increase the system boot time and also increase the performance of the system. We suggest minimum 2GB of memory in their computer.

Hard Disk Space

If the system Hard disk space is low like 200 MB or lower than that that, the systems whole performance will reduce. This include boot time, program Opening time, Processing time etc..at least  3 GB of minimum hard disk space must be available for the system to performance well

Update drivers and Windows

Out-dated drivers will cause the system to slow down, so make sure your drivers are up to date by going in to OEM websites and check the appropriate driver for your PC, if you are using laptop the site will list the entire driver software for your model, if you are using a desktop (assembled) search with respect to your hardware model and the corresponding OS and also updating your OS also sometimes increase the performance based on your specifications.
You can know your drive name and version in the system specification (search in start menu)

Re-install the OS

If the above steps are not increase yor boot up time, its better you re install the OS by formatting the entire HDD (Warning- All your data will be lost, so make sure you backup your data first).
